Poco C61: The New Kid on the Block with Android 14

The successor to the Poco C51, the Poco C61, has been spotted in the Google Play Console, suggesting that an official announcement is imminent. The Poco C61 will be equipped with Android 14 and will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G36 SoC, the same processor found in its predecessor. The phone will feature 4GB of RAM and an LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1650 and 320 ppi density, offering 50 more vertical pixels than the C51.

Furthermore, a recent Bluetooth certification indicates that the Poco C61 will essentially be a rebranded version of the Redmi A3, which was launched in February. The key difference between the two is the front camera design, with the Poco C61 featuring a hole-punch design while the Redmi A3 has a waterdrop notch.

The Redmi A3 features a 6.71″ screen, 8 MP rear camera, 0.08 MP auxiliary lens, 5 MP selfie camera, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. It is highly likely that the Poco C61 will inherit many, if not all, of these specifications.

Overall, the Poco C61 is shaping up to be a compelling option for budget-conscious consumers. With the upgraded Android 14 OS and reliable MediaTek chipset, the upcoming device is definitely worth keeping an eye on as more details are revealed in the coming weeks.
