Mitchell Marlins Girls Shine at USA Hockey Nationals

– Four Marlin girls from South Dakota competed at the USA Hockey High School Girls National Championships in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
– Reese Amick and Tristen Zimmer represented Team South Dakota at the championships, along with Makenna Tronnes and Brynlee Sabers.
– Team South Dakota finished second in their group with a 2-2 record.
– They won 8-1 against the Omaha Lancers and 5-2 against Premier Prep Orange.
– South Dakota suffered a close 4-3 defeat against Team Anchorage and a 2-1 loss to Inter County Scholastic in the tournament quarterfinals.
– Brynlee Sabers had two goals and four assists, Makenna Tronnes had a goal, and Reese Amick had an assist.
– The South Dakota team included Briella Van Dusseldorp, Paige Zimiga, Madeline Abbott, Emma Honner, Sawyer Triplett, Zoe Gorra, Raniesa Mattke, Adriana Clark, Elizabeth Willett, Juliana Chan, Janel Lloyd, Rachel Siefken, and goaltenders Sydney Fornwald and Claire Larson.
