Today marks the 24th day of the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah, as stated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia, which corresponds to 12th March 1445 Hijriah.

Observant Muslims are obliged to refrain from consuming food and drink from the break of dawn until sunset throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Consumption is only permitted after sunset, when the Maghrib call to prayer is resounded.

Owing to Indonesia’s vast geographical expanse, the timing of iftar varies across regions. In Bali, for instance, iftar typically commences around half past 6 in the evening.

In Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali, today’s iftar will commence at 6:25 PM local time. This schedule is also applicable to the Maghrib call to prayer in the Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan regencies. The Bangli regency is scheduled to start iftar at 6:24 PM, followed by the Buleleng regency at 6:26 PM. Meanwhile, Jembrana regency will initiate iftar at 6:28 PM today, and the Karangasem regency will commence at 6:23 PM, due to the Maghrib call to prayer being sounded at that time. Almost simultaneously, the Klungkung regency will begin iftar at 6:24 PM.
